For the last 6 years, Cody has been in the Final Four in 3A football and the Broncs earned a spot this year with a huge 63-14 win over Worland in the quarterfinal round. Matt Nelson had a 34-yard run to the end zone to start the scoring parade for Cody and that was followed by a Luke Talich touchdown pass to Jacob Ball that covered 27 yards and just like that, the Broncs led 14-0.

Worland answered right back as quarterback Kade Weber hit Carter Clark for a TD that went for 13 yards so the Warriors were right back in it at 14-7. Cody had an answer as well as Talich threw his 2nd touchdown pass of the half, this time to Eli Pryor so after one, the Broncs led 21-7.

Matt Nelson continued his fabulous season with a 54-yard gallop to the house to increase the lead to 28-7. Trey Thomasson added a 7-yard run to the end zone and the lead was 28. Nelson gave Cody a 35-point lead with a touchdown catch and Thomasson scored again putting the Broncs up 49-7. Nelson gave Cody a 56-7 lead in the first half with a 61-yard scamper for a score. That was about as impressive half of offensive football as you would ever see.

Cody has a home game in the semi-final round as they'll host Buffalo at 5 pm on Friday. Worland finishes the season 4-5 and will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The Warriors' last winning season was back in 2009.
