Cody Prevails over Jackson to Secure a #1 Seed in 3A Playoffs
Two of the best teams in 3A locked horns on Friday as undefeated Cody met one loss Jackson. This game lived up to its billing with a very compelling game, won by Cody 21-15. The Broncs from Cody scored first thanks to a Jackson Schroeder touchdown that covered 54 yards to make it 7-0.
The Broncs of Jackson responded with TD from quarterback Sadler Smith and with the successful 2 point try, it was 8-7 game. Chaz Cowie gave Cody the lead again with a touchdown so the home team took a 13-8 lead. Jackson came up with an huge play on special teams as Colter Dawson blocked a punt and then ran it in to the end zone for a score, putting the visitors on top 15-13 in the 2nd quarter.
Cody saved the best for last as Drew Trotter caught a touchdown pass in the last minute of the game as Cody improves to 8-0 on the season. Cody is a #1 seed from the West in 3A and will host Worland in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs, Jackson is the #2 seed from the West and they will be at home in the first round to take on Buffalo.
