Cody High School senior Torrie Schutzman will continue her basketball career in college after recently signing with the University of Jamestown in North Dakota.

Schutzman is already a two-year starter and letter winner for the Fillies in her high school basketball career. She led Cody to an 8-14 overall record and was a 4A West all-conference selection in the 2019-2020 season.

Schutzman played in all 22 games last season and the Fillies in scoring, defensive rebounds, assists, and steals. She averaged 10.7 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game last year. Schutzman also grabbed 65 total defensive rebounds or three per game. She shot 29 percent from the field and 28 percent from 3-point range. Schutzman also shot 62 at the free-throw line.

As a sophomore in the 2018-19 season, Schutzman also averaged 10.7 points, three rebounds, and two steals per game. She helped Cody to a 12-10 overall record.

The University of Jamestown Jimmies is located in Jamestown, ND. The head coach is Thad Sankey, who is in his third season with the program. The Jimmies play in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and are a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

High School basketball practice for the 2020-21 season in Wyoming is scheduled to start on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020.
