Kelly Walsh football player Dominic Gray will join a host of Wyoming prep players joining the Chadron State program in the fall. In the 2020 season, Gray from his defensive end spot, recorded 52 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks. His 100 defensive points ranked 3rd on the Trojan team and earned 2nd team All-State honors in 4A. In the 2019 season, Gray had 61 tackles and 19 of those were solo. He also had 2 fumble recoveries and a touchdown.

He also was a member of the Kelly Walsh wrestling team and made the semi-finals of the 4A 220 pound bracket. Gray ended up taking 5th place at the 2021 state tournament with a record of 26-11. Gray also qualified for the 2020 state tournament in Casper and went 1-2 but his Trojans team won the state title.

Chadron State is a Division II school in Nebraska that plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
