Douglas Football Postgame Remarks

Douglas advanced to 5-1 overall after a 56-7 win over Riverton on Friday so a #1 seed in the 3A playoffs is definitely within reach. On offense, quarterback Trey Rinn has been effective in throwing and running the football so he leads the team in all-purpose yardage. Jackson Hughes has caught 6 touchdown passes this season and has displayed some great speed. Karson Ewing has been effective on both sides of the ball and provides that wrestling-type grit that every team needs. Carter Archuleta has been the teams leading tackler and the Cats have been tough on that side of the ball.

We talked with Hughes and Ewing following their win over the Wolverines on Friday in Fremont County.
