Burns won a state championship in volleyball for the first time in 3 decades and senior Emma Norris played a big role in that success. She will play at the college level after signing a letter of intent with Chadron State in Nebraska.

Norris is a two-time all-state selection as Burns defeated Big Horn 3 sets to one and rallied after losing the 2nd set 25-4. Norris had 14 kills and 17 digs in that championship match. She led the team in kills, digs and, had well over 700 kills in her career with the Broncs and well over 600 digs.

Norris currently serves as one of the managers for the Burns boys' basketball team. Chadron State is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Eagles went 7-20 this past season.
