Ethan Brinkman of East Commits to Knox College in Illinois

Cheyenne East linebacker Ethan Brinkman has decided on Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois to continue his career. Brinkman was in on 78 tackles this past season for the Thunderbirds but also missed some time due to injuries. He finished with 21 solo tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries. For his efforts, Brinkman was named 2nd team all-state in 4A.

He was also an all-state selection in his junior year with 128 tackles, 45 of them solo with 3 blocked punts. Brinkman also competes in track and field and placed 7th at the State Indoor Meet in the 4A triple jump and 21st in the long jump. At the 2022 Outdoor Track Championships, he was 11th in the long jump and ran on the 4x100 relay that placed 2nd in 4A.

Knox College is a Division III school that competes in the Midwest Conference.
