
Evanston’s Taryn Holt Chooses Volleyball at Casper College
Evanston High School senior Taryn Holt has decided to play volleyball at the next level after signing with the Casper College Thunderbirds.
Holt is a two-year varsity letter winner for the Red Devils. She helped Evanston to a 16-11-1 overall record last fall. The Red Devils won the Southwest Quadrant with a 6-0 record. They qualified for the 4A state tournament, where Evanston finished in sixth place.
Holt had 82 kills and 69 total blocks during her senior season of 2020. She added 13 service aces and 32 digs.

Holt also played basketball at Evanston High School through her junior season. She appeared in 17 games during the 2019-20 season and averaged 1.1 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
Casper College finished with a 16-12 overall record and went 12-7 in conference play during the spring 2021 JUCO volleyball season. Angel Sharman is the head coach at Casper College.
Holt joins a T-Birds roster that featured four other former Wyoming high school prep volleyball players in the 2020-21 season.
