Favor Okere of Rock Springs Signs With Waldorf

Rock Springs athlete Favor Okere has signed with NAIA Waldorf University in Iowa to play football and run track. On the gridiron this past season Okere was named 2nd team all-state in the defensive secondary and 1st team all-conference. He also saw time at wide receiver and caught 23 balls and 2 touchdowns, despite battling a knee injury.

In track 2019, Okere finished 5th in the high jump at the 4A state meet and ran on the Tigers 4x100 meter relay team that took 4th. He also averaged 8 points and 3 rebounds per game in basketball.

The Waldorf football team finished 7-3 this past season and 5-2 in the North Star Athletic Conference.
