One of the finest runners in Wyoming will be going to the state's only 4-year school as Hailey Jones of Moorcroft will competing for the University of

Wyoming Cowgirls. Jones was an all-state selection in track for the last 3 seasons and is the 3 time 2A state champion in the 800-meter run and the 1600 meter run. In 2019, she ran on the Wolves 1600 sprint medley team that placed 2nd at state, and in 2018, that relay group took 1st at state.

Jones also ran indoor track for Thunder Basin and took 5th in the 800 and 7th in the 1600. She ran on the state championship 4x800 meter relay team and her 1600 sprint medley squad took 2nd.

Jones was also a 3-time all-state pick in cross country for Moorcroft with a 2nd place finish at the 2A state meet in Afton in 2019 and was the 2A state champion in 2018 as a sophomore and 2017 as a freshman.
