The Jackson-Evanston football game was exciting, to say the least, and that's what you would like to see every week. Jackson scored the first 20 points of the game and watched Evanston out a touchdown on the board in the 3rd quarter and 2 more in the 4th quarter to force overtime.

Jackson got 2 field goals and a Jack Jenkins touchdown catch in the first half and took that 20-point lead on a fumble return for a touchdown from Everett Johnson.  Evanston roared back in the 2nd half with a 2-yard run for a score from Cohen Morrow, a 1-yard run to the end zone from Brady Roberts, and a 25-yard TD reception from Kai Barker.

In the first overtime, Morrow gave Evanston the lead with a 5-yard touchdown run, and with the extra point, it was 27-20. Jackson responded with a TD of their own on their first overtime possession, thanks to Owen Janssen and the successful extra point knotted the game at 27.

Jackson had the ball first in the 2nd overtime and Janssen scored again from the 1 and the extra point was good again giving the Broncs a 34-27 advantage. For Evanston, they needed a touchdown to stay in the game and got it from Morrow to make it 34-33. The Red Devils went to 2 and Morrow was stopped shy of the end zone giving Jackson a thrilling one-point win.

Jackson is now 3-3 on the year and will be at Green River on Friday. Evanston drops to 1-5 and will host Powell this week. We have some sensational photos from this game in Teton County, compliments of Tammy Griebel. Enjoy!
