Kaycee Finds a Way to Qualify for 1A 6 Man Playoffs
Kaycee at one point during the regular season was 0-5 but ended the season with 2 wins, beating Midwest and HEM to find a spot in the 1A 6 Man playoffs. The Oilers posted a 53-6 win over HEM and Midwest did the Bucs a big favor by defeating Guernsey.
Kaycee was beset by injuries for part of the season but their win over Midwest 2 weeks ago in less than ideal field conditions was a big step forward. Harley Davis and Vaun Pierson are capable of making plays even if the Bucs stats weren't exactly eye-popping. But Kaycee now has 13 straight playoff appearances, which means they have been in the postseason for as long as Wyoming has had 6 man football. Kaycee is the #4 seed from the East and will have a tough road assignment in round one of the playoffs at Little Snake River.
It was a tough year for HEM with an 0-6 mark and some injuries to boot. This will be the first time since 2015 that the Miners have missed the playoffs. We have some top-notch photographs to share with you in our gallery, courtesy of SolaasSnap Photography. Enjoy!
