Legion Baseball AA and A State Tournaments 2013

Time to put a wrap on the season.

The AA state tournament will be played in Cheyenne, while the A state tournament will be played in Gillette.

The state champs (and Wheatland) will advance to the Northwest Regional Tournaments to be played in Eugene, Oregon, and Wheatland.

Format of the tournaments, is double-elimination.

Friday, August 2nd:

Jackson Giants 11 Gillette Roughriders 9 - Gillette Eliminated.

Sheridan Troopers 12 Cheyenne Hawks 10 - Cheyenne Hawks Eliminated. Sheridan was down 10-5 going into the 8th, then scored 2 in the 8th and 5 in the 9th.

Sheridan Troopers 11 Jackson Giants 4 - Jackson Eliminated.

Casper Oilers 10 Cheyenne Post 6 4 - Cheyenne with 7 errors.

Saturday, August 3rd:

Cheyenne Post 6 16 Sheridan Troopers 6 - Sheridan Eliminated.

Cheyenne Post 6 14 Casper Oilers 10 - Cheyenne scores 7 in the top of the first, and hang on.

Sunday, August 4th:

Cheyenne Post 6 3 Casper Oilers 2 - Championship Post 6 5-peats as State Champs and have won 12 of the last 13 state titles.

Cheyenne Post 6 advances to the AA-League Northwest Regional Tournament to be played in Eugene, Oregon.

Game 1 will on Thursday, August 8th at 10am Pacific Time (11am Mountain Time) vs. Billings, MT Royals.

Saturday, August 3rd:

Cody Cubs 14 Green River Knights 13 - Green River Eliminated. Cody was up 10-2 after 5, then GR scored 8 in the top of the 7th, to tie the score at 11. Cubs scored 2 in the bottom of the 8th to go up 13-11, Knights scored 2 in the top of the 9th to make it 13-13, then Cody got 1 in the bottom of the 9th to win.

Laramie advances to the A-League Northwest Regional Tournament to be played in Wheatland.

Game 1 will be on Friday, August 9th at 9:30am vs. the Idaho State Champ.

Wheatland will play at 7:30pm vs. the Alaska State Champ.
