Spring-like weather is trying to make its way into the Cowboy State...and that means it's about time to break out the old bat and ball.

The Wyoming Legion Baseball season starts this weekend, with 1 team seeing action. The Gillette Roughriders will host Miles City, MT for a double-header on Saturday, April 9th, and then follow that with another double-header the following day, at home vs. Rapid City, SD Central HS.

Wyopreps.com is currently building pages for all the Legion Baseball teams, just like the high schools, and those pages should be ready soon. We will have schedule and scores, just like the other sports.

There are a couple of minor changes to the season. The Jackson Giants and the Riverton Raiders have swapped conferences this season. The Raiders will compete in the Northwest along with Cody, Powell and Lovell, while the Giants will play in the Southwest, with Evanston, Green River and Rock Springs.

District tournaments will be held on July 21-23, at Gillette (North) and Torrington (South), while the state tournament will be held in Cheyenne, the following weekend. Regional tournaments will be played at Billings, MT (Double-A) and Roseburg, OR (Single-A).
