One of the most compelling football playoff games in 2021 was in Baggs on Friday afternoon as Little Snake River took on Meeteetse. Both teams showed an incredible amount of fortitude and both squads made huge plays on offense and defense.

Meeteetse had the lead in the 4th quarter but Little Snake River took the lead for good with just over 5 minutes remaining in the contest. After that, the Rattler defense sealed the deal. On the Little Snake River side of the ledger, Hadley Myers had 246 yards rushing on 33 carries with 4 touchdowns. All told, the Rattlers had 418 yards on the ground with Zander Risner and Kannadis Peroulis each reaching the end zone.

For Meeteetse, quarterback Dace Bennett was under a lot of pressure but threw 3 touchdown passes with 2 interceptions. All three of those TD throws went to Kiernan Ehrhart-Mukiibi who had 111 yards receiving. Kalvin Erickson also had a couple of touchdown grabs. The season comes to an end for the Longhorns with a record of 5-4.

Little Snake River will take on Encampment in the 1A 6 Man championship which will be at noon on Friday at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie. LSR beat Encampment during the regular season 66-24.
