The top-ranked Little Snake River Rattlers held off No. 3 Meeteetse last Saturday afternoon in Baggs, 29-23.

After the game, WyoPreps talked with players and coaches from both teams to get their reaction to a great game.

LSR head coach Jack Cobb called it ‘one hell of a game.’

This was a second tough loss for the Longhorns. They had been No. 1 in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Poll throughout the season until their Week 5 loss at home to Encampment. Now, Meeteetse has lost their last two by a combined ten points.

Kalvin Erickson, Mickle Ogden, and Dace Bennett talked to WyoPreps about the tough setback.

Meeteetse head coach Zeb Hagen knows his team is not that far off.

The win by the Rattlers clinched the top seed from the West Conference in the Class 1A-6 man playoffs.

The Longhorns dropped into a tie for third in the conference standings with two weeks left.
