Little Snake River Wins 6 Man State Title for 2nd Time in 3 Years
Little Snake River had all the firepower they needed to win every game on their schedule in 2021. The Rattlers locked up the 1A 6 Man state championship on Friday in Laramie with a 65-24 win over Encampment. LSR put 28 points on the board in the 2nd quarter and never looked back. They received 159 yards rushing from Hadley Myers with Kannadis Peroulis chipped in 115.
Encampment made the state championship game for the first time since the program was resurrected 3 years ago. Koye Gilbert caught 5 balls for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns while quarterback Quade Jordan threw for 219 yards. The Tigers had a tough time moving the ball in the 2nd half against a stout defensive unit from Little Snake River.
The Rattlers went 10-0 this season and also went undefeated in the 2019 campaign. Encampment made a ton of progress this season and finished the season with a record of 8-2.
