Little Snake River senior Vea Habel has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA.

Habel was an all-state and two-time all-conference performer for the Rattlers. She played as the team’s setter and a middle hitter in her prep career and was a three-year varsity letter winner.

As a senior last fall, Habel helped Little Snake River to a 12-11 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the 1A Southwest Quadrant. The Rattlers made the Class 1A state volleyball tournament, where they went 1-2.

In her junior season of 2019, LSR was 23-13-1 and made an appearance at the 1A state tournament.

In a release sent to WyoPreps, Habel said, “I connected with the team when I visited the school, each one of the girls took me under their wing in a different way and I’m excited to get to play with them.”

Habel plans on majoring in nursing and eventually would like to become a neonatal nurse.

Habel also played basketball and competed in track and field for the Rattlers.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
