Scroll down to watch highlights of the game.

The Bulldogs' offense got it together in the 3rd and 4th quarters, as the Buffalos defense was unable to collar the opposition.

It's homecoming and the cheerleaders were putting in the extra effort to the crowd into this game...they got an A in our book!

#3 Lovell at #1 Mountain View...we're in the second quarter, because not much happened in the first 12 minutes...Mountain View wearing the black...Austin Housekeeper wanted Caleb Flake the entire time...the 2 juniors connect and the latter is gone...81 yards...the home team needed to win this game, to establish their validity as 2A title contenders...so far so good...they lead 6-to-nothing.

Lovell had some problems getting out of the dog-house in the first half...of course when a stampede of Buffalos are coming your way...that can make things difficult...Beau Green goes down and that was not the only time that he would eat dirt.

Moving right along...the Bulldogs were learning a new trick they did not like...sit and stay...Ethan Salisbury gets the sack on this play and that will keep the opposition off the scoreboard for a bit longer.

But it was not smooth sailing on the other side of the ball either...Housekeeper has a target...but Chase Rasmussen will step in front of the pass and fetch himself an interception...with less than 1 minute to go before the break, the senior was trying to give his team a chance.

On the next play...the visitors were having some problems executing...Green is looking for anybody...forced to scramble...and the pressure came in faster than he realized...Salisbury with the hit from behind...forces the fumble...Dalton Hereford would recover to stop that threat...Mountain View was feeling pretty good about themselves...with less than 1 minute to go before halftime.

They gave it a try, but then Lovell's defense started to growl...Nash Jolley is going to break through the line and introduce Housekeeper to the ground...that helped and last year's 2A state runner-ups were grateful, that they were only down 6-zip going into the locker room.

3rd quarter...the Buffalos' defense was able to keep it up a bit longer...Flake read that play well and would deliver a great open field tackle...that would snuff out whatever Green was planning, as the purple people eaters would maintain the momentum.

However...on the next possession...the big dog got loose...Dillon Pickett found the hole...went through it...slipped a couple of tackles and he was off of his chain...a 51 yard pickup...all the way down to the 3 and things were starting to turn the other way in this game.

About 3 plays later...Pickett would finish what he started...1 yard...6 points...plus 2...Lovell would take the lead 8-to-6.

First play of the 4th quarter...we partially messed up because we lost the ball...then we found it in midair...and into the arms of Hyrum Hopkin...85 yards...who let that Bulldog out? The visitors have taken control of this 2A west matchup...the score is now 15-to-6.

On their next possession...Lovell played it smart...long drive...kept the ball on the ground...and kept the clock running...Pickett would score his second rushing TD...this one from 3 yards...now his team is ahead 22-to-6.

The home team had to respond quickly...and they did...Housekeeper with a quick pass to Brennan Walk for a score...but the 2 point try was no good...and Mountain View could not get the ball back. The Buffalos would get stunned at home, by the Bulldogs...22-to-12.
