Meeteetse Football Postgame Remarks 9-11-21

Meeteetse won their first game of the year on Saturday in 1A 6 man football with a 51-6 decision over Kaycee on the road. This group has some polish to it and has multiple weapons on offense. Even though Dace Bennett and Kalvin Erickson are all-stars, this is not a two-man team by any means. There are more than a few guys who are major contributors.

The Meeteetse defense was stout on Saturday but they have some tough games to come in what is a very competitive 6 man classification. The Longhorns were the state runner-ups a year ago and now they want to take the next step. We caught up with Bennett and Erickson after that win over Kaycee on Saturday and they know that expectations are high.
