Meeteetse Posts Big Road Win Over Midwest in 1A 6 Man Playoffs

Meeteetse was a #3 seed from the West in the 1a 6 Man playoffs and there were tough #3 seed indeed. The Longhorns raced by Midwest on the road 60-0 to get to the 6 Man semi-finals. Meeteetse quarterback Dace Bennett threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns and he ran 60 yards and another TD. Mickie Ogden had a touchdown on the ground and through the air as six different players scored a total of eight touchdowns.

Bennett and Kalvin Erickson also came up with interceptions and it's hard to shut out anybody in 6 man football. Midwest did finish the year 4-5 but remember, they were 0-8 a year ago and 1-7 the year before that, so the Oilers made some serious progress.
