The H.E.M. Miners advanced past the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2010 with their 73-36 victory last Friday over Meeteetse.

H.E.M. scored three times in the first four plays of the game and rolled to the victory. The Miners led 32-0 in the first quarter. Meeteetse surged in the second quarter. They got within 32-22 with 42 seconds left in the half. H.E.M. answered quickly, as they scored 20 seconds later and led 40-22 at halftime.

In the third, TD passes from Shane McGraw to Brendon Reeves and Devon Grosstick, plus a Conor McGraw touchdown run extended the Miners’ advantage to 60-22. A pair of Shane McGraw TD runs in the fourth, where he tight-roped the sideline both times capped off H.E.M.’s big day.

Here are some highlights from the game.

After the victory, the McGraw twins spoke with WyoPreps’ David Settle about getting the Miners past the first round and more. Head coach Zack Scott also talked with Mr. Settle.
