At least one difference in each class highlights the new WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Football Poll released on Wednesday.

The five top-ranked teams keep their positions this week, which means Cheyenne Central, Jackson, Mountain View, Southeast, and Farson-Eden are at No. 1. Two of them are unanimous picks.

There are three new teams in the poll this week, while two of the classes shuffled the same top-five teams into a new order.

The top three remain the same in Class 4A. Cheyenne Central is at the top for a fourth consecutive week. The Indians received all 26 first-place votes. Thunder Basin earned a majority of the ballots at No. 2, while Cheyenne East holds the same distinction in third. Natrona County jumps back into the rankings at four. The Mustangs are coming off a quadruple overtime victory over Sheridan. Rock Springs holds steady at No. 5. The Broncs fall out of the top five but did receive quite a few votes this week.

In 3A, the Broncs are still first and second. Jackson edges out Cody for the top spot by six total points in the voting. Jackson got 13 first-place votes and is No. 1 for a third week this season. Cody follows in second, while Powell holds in third. Douglas makes a move up to No. 4 this week. That pushes Star Valley down to fifth. Lander also received votes.

Mountain View holds the top position in Class 2A. The Buffalos are one vote shy of being a unanimous pick for first. Then, the rest of the top-five shuffle around. Lyman jumps three spots into second. Upton-Sundance moves up one to third, while Torrington falls two spots to No. 4, and Big Piney drops two down to fifth. Four more teams garnered votes this week.

In Class 1A-9 man, the top four holds in the position they’ve been in since the preseason rankings. Southeast is first with 12 votes for No. 1. Rocky Mountain out-points Lusk for second, even though the Tigers earned four first-place votes compared to the Grizzlies one. Shoshoni is still fourth. For the first time this season, Saratoga joins the top five in the No. 5 position. Five other schools picked up votes in this poll.

Finally, in Class 1A-6 man, the top two are unanimous choices. Farson-Eden stays at No. 1. The Pronghorns have been on top since the preseason rankings. Meeteetse moves to second and received all those votes. Encampment is alone in third this week, while Kaycee falls two spots to No. 4. Little Snake River is back into the poll in fifth. Three other teams earned votes.

There are five games this weekend that will involve ranked teams going head-to-head and its spread across all five classes. The Capital City Bowl features No. 3 East at top-ranked Central in 4A. From 3A, the second-rated Cody Broncs head on the road to Afton for a match-up against No. 5 Star Valley. The fifth-ranked Big Piney Punchers play at top-ranked Mountain View on Friday in 2A action. From Class 1A-9 man, No. 1 Southeast will play at the new team in the poll, fifth-ranked Saratoga, and then in 6-man, a battle in the West Conference features No. 5 Little Snake River at second-rated Meeteetse.
