Mountain View was a #1 seed entering the 2A football playoffs and easily advanced to the semi-final round with a 40-0 home win over Wheatland over the weekend. The bad news for Mountain View is that they lost star quarterback Justus Platts to a knee injury in the first quarter, and he watched the rest of the game on crutches from the sideline. His status will be evaluated, but coming into the game, Platts ran for 1019 yards with 19 touchdowns and he threw for 1654 yards with 19 touchdowns.

So the Buffs had to circle the wagons in this game and received a 1st quarter touchdown run from Levi Jones to put them up 6-0. Mountain View turned it up a notch in the 2nd quarter with a 4-yard run by Jackson Sawyer, followed by a 2-yard run plunge into the end zone from Brendon Walker. Then Sawyer scored again from 8 yards out so the Buffs essentially put the game away leading 27-0.

Mountain View scored twice in the 4th quarter as Jones had a 31-yard run to the house and Walker scored for the 2nd time on a 28-yard run. The Buffs are 9-1 on the year and will host Cokeville on Friday afternoon. Wheatland concludes the season at 4-6.
