Natrona County lineman D'Anthony Smith has signed a letter of intent to play football at Chadron State in Nebraska. Smith was a 2nd team All-State selection in 4A on the defensive line with 45 tackles with a sack and two fumble recoveries. He made exponential improvement from his junior to senior seasons with more growth to come.

Smith really made a name for himself in wrestling as he took 3rd place at 285 pounds and his win in that 3rd place match over Gavyn Aumiller of Cheyenne East enabled Natrona to win the team state championship. That was the first team title for the Mustangs since 1984. Smith finished the year 32-9 on the mat and in his junior year, placed 6th at 285 with a record of 24-21

His brother Trevon is currently a defensive lineman for the Chadron State Eagles and also won a state championship in wrestling back in 2019 at 285 pounds.
