Behind five touchdown passes from Mason Jones, the No. 1 Little Snake River beat second-ranked Encampment, 42-12, last Saturday in Baggs.

The Rattlers ran their winning streak to a state-best 27 in a row.

LSR scored a touchdown on their first offensive play of the game. QB Mason Jones connected with Bridger Cozzens on a 63-yard catch and run and a 6-0 lead. That was the score at the end of the first quarter.

Jones found Seth Maxson on a 10-yard TD pass and Cozzens on an 8-yard TD pass for a 20-0 lead midway through the second quarter. That was the score at halftime.

Quade Jordan got Encampment on the board with a short TD catch from Kaban Pickett. The Rattlers answered with a Jones to Maxson 11-yard TD pass. It was 26-6 at the end of the third quarter.

After Pickett scored for the Tigers, Little Snake River added a Maxson 1-yard TD run and Jones’ final TD pass to Tanner Duncan for the final margin of 42-12.

Jones was 12-18 for 251 yards and five TDs with zero interceptions. The Rattlers’ defense forced three turnovers and held Encampment to 199 yards of total offense.

#1 Little Snake River vs. #2 Encampment
