Two student-athletes at Cheyenne East High School have decided on their destinations to compete at the college level. Bradie Schlabs will be heading to Division II Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota for basketball. She is a 3-time All-State selection in 4A and has been averaging 15 points a game this season. She also has extensive club experience with the NOCO Triple Threat team.

Schlabs is a solid all-around athlete as she was an All-State pick in 4A volleyball in 2023 and placed 5th at the 4A State Outdoor Track meet in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.74. She also ran in the Thunderbirds 4x100 relay team that took 5th at the State Meet and ran on the 4x400 team that took 3rd.

Sydni Sawyer will be headed to Division I South Dakota to compete in the triathlon which is comprised of swimming, cycling, and running. At the 2023 Indoor State Track Meet, Sawyer took 3rd in the 4A 1600 in 5.34.54 and 5th in the 3200 with a clocking of 12.14.24. She ran on the East 4x800 relay that won the 4A State Championship and also ran on the 4x800 relay team that took 8th.

At the 2023 Outdoor State Track Meet, Sawyer was 12th in the 1600 in 5.29.82 and 13th in the 3200 in 12.21.01. She also was in the 4x800 relay team that took 5th at State.

In the pool, Sawyer has turned in solid results at the 4A State Meet in 2023. She was 3rd in the 500 freestyle in 5.24.62 and 4th in the 200 free in 2.01.26. She was also on the 400-relay team for East that took first in the "B' group. Back in 2022, Sawyer was 2nd in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5.25.50 and 3rd in the 200 free at 15.59.97
