PhotoFest: Lander Cross Country Meet

Lander played host to a small cross-country meet with great weather conditions on Thursday with a challenging track at the Lander Golf Course. On the girls' side, Burlington's Jessie Michaels was first in 21.31.09 and she played volleyball for the Huskies last season. Ameya Eddy of Lander placed 2nd and she is the defending 3A State Champion in cross country. Her time was 22.39.81. In 3rd was Lander's Blue Blackburn in 23.07.66 and she placed 8th in last year's 3A State Meet. Isabelle Murdock of Green River was 4th in 22.18.98 with her teammate Madison Murdock in 5th in 23.18.88

On the boys' side, Kaden Chatfield took the tape in 17.03.32 and he placed 9th at last year's 3A State Meet. Lander's Diego Lobatos was 2nd in 18.04.85 and was 11th last year at State. The 3rd place finisher was Howard McNiven of Burlington in 18.25.24 and he took 3rd at the 2022 State Meet in 2A. Alexander Truax of Riverton was 4th in 18.49.43 with his teammate Marshall Walton 5th with a time of 18.59.11
