Pine Bluffs Wins Big at Moorcroft to Improve to 4-0

Pine Bluffs has remained the #1 ranked team in the 1A 9-man classification after a big 49-8 road win over Moorcroft on Friday. The Hornets are loaded with offensive talent thanks to quarterback Stu Lerwick and a duo of solid receivers in Ryan Fornstrom and Collin Jesse. Then these guys turn around and play defense and it's been a stout unit so far. Pine Bluffs was challenged by Shoshoni on opening night, a game that the Hornets won on the road. Following that Pine Bluffs has posted one-sided wins over Wright Guernsey and now Moorcroft. The Hornets will be at home this week to take on Lusk.

Moorcroft is in the midst of a rebuild and they're 0-4 so far this season. They have absorbed defeats to Southeast, Saratoga, and Guernsey. It's not going to get any easier this week with a match-up against unbeaten Lingle-Fort Laramie. It's live and learn for the Wolves but they do have talent on offense with quarterback Ayden Petz, running back James Long, and receiver Chaz Dewey.
