Pinedale attracted a lot of attention at the state tournament with an entertaining and winning brand of volleyball. When the Wranglers won their 3A first round match over Torrington, it was their first victory at the state tourney since 2002. Pinedale gave eventual state champion Rawlins everything they could handle in the semi-final round and ended up taking 3rd place with a 3-0 win over Rawlins. This team has a 2 time, all-state player in Jamie Streit who will certainly attract some big-time college programs. Her teammate, Maggie Majhanovich was an all-state pick as well with Nora Legerski taking all-conference honors. Pindale went 26-11 this year and last won a state championship back in 1999 when they were played in 2A. This program is on the uptick and will be worth a watch in 2020.
