Lusk basketball player Riley Shaw will be headed right down the road and play for Chadron State in the fall. Shaw was a 2A all-state selection for the Tigers this past season, as she averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds per game from the point guard spot. She was also named the SEWAC player of the year. Shaw was an all-conference pick in 2A her junior year. Lusk was 14-10 in basketball in 2020-21 and has qualified for the 2A state tournament for the last 4 years.

Shaw also competed in volleyball and track in her career in Lusk and also served on the WHSAA Advisory Council for two years. Chadron State is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
