Rock Springs has made gigantic leaps on the football field since hiring Mark Lenhardt away from Torrington. The Tigers are 2-0 on the year after a 33-17 win over Thunder Basin in Gillette on Friday night. Rock Springs returns 15 starters from last year's squad and the Tigers have 2 guys who were all-state selections in 2020; Isaac Schoenfeld and Cadon Shaklee.

Thunder Basin has some serious talent too and started the season with a come-from-behind win over Cheyenne East in week zero. The Bolt defense had their hands full with the Rock Springs offense as the Tigers picked up well over 400 yards of offense. Both of these teams will be major factors in the 4A race this fall.

We have a video for your viewing and plenty of great images of the game in our gallery, thanks to Brian Mitchell. Enjoy!
