One school's athletic program has been told to clean up its act, in terms of what happens on and off the field of play and in the stands.

The Wyoming High School Activities Association has placed St. Stephens on probation for one year (2013-2014 school year), after a number of mostly fan related issues at various games and some player ejections.

Two instances in particular was a brawl in the stands in late February at the 1A West Regional Basketball Tournament in Lander, and a stabbing outside the Casper Events Center after the basketball state championships in 2011.

The WHSAA is working with SS on an action plan to address the various issues, according to Commissioner Ron Laird.

If things get worse or do not improve, the Eagles risk being disqualified from participating in any or all forms of post-season competition.

Update: As of The start of the 2014-2015 school year. St. Stephens is no longer on probation. Click here for more information.
