Star Valley kicked off the season with a game at Division 1 college football stadium as the Braves meet Shelley, Idaho on the campus of Boise State. Shelley took the early lead in the game as quarterback Brecker Williams tossed a 29 yard touchdown pass to Canton Allphin to give the Russets a 7-0 lead. That's the way it stayed for the first half.

The Braves got back into the game in the 3rd quarter with quarterback Luke Linford connected with Chase Stewart for 13 yards and touchdown to even the game at 7. later in the 4th quarter, Star Valley reached deep into their playbook as Stewart tossed a 9 yard touchdown pass to Linford to bump the Brace lead to 14-7. With less than 3 minutes to go in the contest, Tristan Hilton got into the end zone for Star Valley from the doorstep as the Braves win it in Boise 21-7.

Star Valley will host Preston, Idaho on Friday in Afton, the 2nd of 3 straight Idaho opponents to start the season. We have a few images to share from that game in Boise in our gallery below, courtesy of Rachelle Patterson. Enjoy!
