Star Valley Rings Up 53 1st Quarter Points to Defeat Rawlins

Star Valley entered the Wyoming portion of their football schedule after playing three out-of-state schools to start the 2021 season. The Braves hit the road for Rawlins and scored an unbelievable 8 touchdowns in the first quarter. Yes in the first quarter, The Braves recovered 2 fumbles for touchdowns, quarterback Taft McClure threw 4 TD passes, Lane Oesch had a 48 yard run for a score and Winston Green returned a punt 70 yards to the end zone. That was all in quarter #1

Rawlins did score in that opening quarter but just once as Canyon Green tossed a touchdown pass to Braden Fritz on a play that covered 25 yards. Star Valley put 14 more points on the board in the 2nd quarter and took the foot off the gas en route to a 74-6 win.

Star Valley is 2-2 and they have a gigantic game this week as they'll 3-1 Jackson. That should be a tremendous game. Rawlins is 0-4 on the year and they have a road game at Buffalo this Friday.
