The Star Valley Braves continued their rugged non-conference schedule with a road game in Preston, Idaho back on Friday. This turned out to be a tremendous game as Star Valley opened the scoring with a 5 yard run for a touchdown from Lane Oesch to give the Braves a 7-0 lead. Preston answered with a pair of touchdown throws to put them in front 12-7 and Oesch answered with his 2nd touchdown of the contest to give the lead back to the Braves at 14-12. Preston kicked a 2nd quarter field goal and led 15-14 at the halftime intermission.

In the 3rd quarter, Preston added to their lead with a TD and Star Valley responded with a 27-yard gallop to the end zone from Conner Hart to tie the game at 21. The Indians came right back with a score to bump their lead to 28-21. Star Valley showed a lot of heart with a Kalb Fila 31 yard run to the end zone for a touchdown but the extra point was blocked so the Braves trailed 28-27.

Star Valley had a chance to win the game in the final seconds but their field goal attempt was no good. Preston wins it 28-27 in a memorable game so Star Valley is 1-1 with a huge non-conference game this Friday against Sugar-Salem Idaho.
