The Star Valley Braves traditionally play some very good out-of-state teams to begin the season and they went on the road last week to the Summit Academy in Utah to begin the 2021 football season.

At one point in the 3rd quarter, the Braves were down by two touchdowns but rallied to take the lead on a pick-six from all-state player Lucas Chappell. Star Valley sealed the deal with another interception late in the game to hold on for a 22-21 win.

This program has been strong for quite some time with 3A state championships in 2018 and 2019. The 2020 season wasn't what they had hoped for and there are some unknowns heading into the season. But a come-from-behind road win to start the season is a good sign with another road game coming up this week in Preston, Idaho. We do have some images to share with you from this exciting ball game. Take a look!

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
