The Star Valley Braves went 1-2 facing out of state competition after a 22-6 loss at home to Sugar-Salem, Idaho on Friday night. The Braves won their season opener by 1 point over Summit, Utah, and then lost by last week to Preston, Idaho. Star Valley could never get on track offensively against Sugar-Salem as their only touchdown was a 37-yard reception from Jacob Hodges.

Sugar-Salem scored the first 14 points of the game in the first half and tacked on a 2nd half TD for that 22-6 margin.

Star Valley is ranked 5th in our WyoPreps poll in 3A so, despite a 1-2 record, nobody is counting them out of anything. The Braves have a very winnable game this week as they travel to face 0-3 Rawlins.

We have a few images of that Friday contest in Afton in our gallery, courtesy of Rachelle Patterson. Enjoy!
