Thunder Basin Has High Expectations in Volleyball this season
The Thunder Basin volleyball team won 27 matches a year ago but finished 4th at the 4A state tournament. The team had higher aspirations than that and this could be the year that the team exceeds what they accomplished last season.
The Bolts took 5th at the big Gillette tournament over the weekend and went 5-1 with their lone loss of the season coming to Natrona in 3 sets. They have a returning all-state player in Joe Spelts and have other returnees who saw plenty of playing time.
4A will be very competitive this year and Thunder Basin will be in the state tournament mix. It's just a matter of well they fare, once they get there.
We chatted with Eagan Clark and Joelie Spelts about the season to date and the road going forward with a few photos as well. Enjoy!
