The Torrington Blazers are in somewhat of a rebuilding mode as they lost a host of all-state and all-conference players from a year ago. They do have a new quarterback in Bryce Hager so it will take some time to get everybody on the same page. The Blazers lost to Gering, Nebraska in their Zer-Week game 46-19 thanks to 5 turnovers. Torrington took on a talented Mitchell, Nebraska team and lost 44-20 on Friday night.

It's been a slow start but there's a long way to go and the Blazers do have an all-conference player in Hager from a year ago as well as all-conference selections Dylan Packard and Sam Birdsall. Torrington will try to get on the winning track with a road game at Burns this week.

We do have a few photos of Friday's game in Goshen County from Dawn Bivens. Enjoy!
