Campbell County High School will provide Black Hills State with proven football ability as Trent Rosenau and Patrick Lynch have committed to the Yellow Jackets program. Rosenau was been a workhorse for the Camel offense at the running back spot for the last two seasons, earning 4A All-State designation in 2024 and 2023.

This past season, Rosenau rushed for 1001 yards in a whopping 170 carries with 8 touchdowns. He had a 190-yard game vs. Thunder Basin and rang up 183 yards vs. Laramie.  In 2023, Rosenau put up big numbers again on the ground with 1107 yards rushing on 151 carries and 15 touchdowns.  He turned in a monster game that season vs. Kelly Walsh with 229 yards rushing. Back in 2024. Rosenau qualified for the 4A State Indoor Track Meet, competing in the 55-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.

Patrick Lynch patrolled the defensive secondary for Campbell County and made 60 tackles with a fumble recovery and an interception in 2024. He tallied a season high 7 tackles vs. Thunder Basin and was named 4A All-State for his efforts. In the 2023 campaign, Lynch was an All-Conference selection with 33 tackles and 3.5 sacks plus a pick. If that wasn't enough, he also returned a punt for a touchdown. Lynch is also the goalkeeper for the Campbell County soccer team, and so far this season, he has made 30 saves and has allowed just one goal.
