Although the coaches/media rankings have no impact on post-season seeding, beating a ranked team can add some momentum to the cause.

Last week, only 5 4A teams received votes. This week, the same 5 teams got all the votes again. Campbell County holds the #1 spot again, with Kelly Walsh behind them at #2, and Thunder Basin at #3. Evanston moves ahead of Cheyenne East for the #4 rankings, thus the defending champ Lady Thunderbirds are #5. Friday will be a busy day as 4 of the top 5 ranked teams play each other. TB visits East, and Evanston is at KW, in a game that could determine which team is in the driver's seat in the west.

The deck was mostly shuffled in 3A, as a result of last weekend's results. Every ranked team, except for #1 Douglas lost at least once. As a result, the Lady Bearcats are the unanimous #1 this week, and the only undefeated team left in the state in either gender. Lyman is the unanimous #2. Their biggest rival Mountain View, made the most noise last week and the Lady Buffalos are back in the top 5 at #3. MV has some unfinished business with unranked Star Valley first, before they can look towards next week's showdown vs. the Lady Eagles. Buffalo remains at #4 this week, while Powell drops a couple of spots to #5, after losing twice at home last week.

The top spot in 2A has changed hands again. Lusk is back on top after avenging their loss to #5 Pine Bluffs. Greybull slips down to #2, while Rocky Mountain holds at #3. The Lady Grizzlies beat the Lady Buffalos last week, but that big win got neutralized, when they turned around and lost to unranked Lovell. Elsewhere, #4 Sundance locked up the top spot in the northeast earlier this week.

One big game remains in 1A, and it will happen on the last day of the regular season. #1 Encampment visits #2 Little Snake River on Saturday, to determine the top 2 seeds in the southwest. Meanwhile, #3 Cokeville and #5 Farson-Eden have their seeds secured for the upcoming regional tournament, while #4 St. Stephens has to take care of things at unranked Burlington on Friday to secure the northwest top spot.
