Wyoming High School Girls Basketball Rankings: Jan. 24, 2019
Since there were no upsets last week, the coaches/media rankings for this week are the same from last week.
The 4A rankings are Thunder Basin at #1, followed by Cheyenne East, Cheyenne Central, Star Valley and Kelly Walsh. It's #2 vs. #3 Friday night in Cheyenne.
In 3A, it's still Douglas as the unanimous #1. Buffalo holds at #2, with Lyman not far behind. Rawlins is #4 and Mountain View checks in at #5. There's no games this weekend featuring ranked team vs. ranked team, but Lyman will get a challenge taking on a 2A ranked opponent on Saturday.
That 2A opponent is #1 and undefeated Wyoming Indian. The rest of the rankings have Pine Bluffs at #2, Wright at #3, Big Horn at #4 and Greybull at #5. BH visits Wright this weekend in the first of 2 quadrants matchups, between the 2 teams.
1A is the interesting class this weekend, as 4 of the top 5 will battle each other. #1 Cokeville hosts #3 Farson-Eden, while #4 Rock River visits H.E.M. Meanwhile #2 St. Stephens will be busy with quadrant play in the northwest.
Disclaimer: The rankings have no official say on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don't read too much into the rankings.
