Another big game in the Class 1A-6 Man West Conference has No. 3 Encampment visiting top-ranked Meeteetse on Friday afternoon.

The Longhorns slipped past Burlington last week 74-68 and improved to 3-1. The Tigers had last week off. They are 2-1 on the season. Their last game was a 38-30 victory over Farson-Eden.

This game was not voted as our WyoPreps Small School ‘Game of the Week,’ but since it’s a big match-up in a fiercely competitive West Conference, WyoPreps is spotlighting this game.

We talked with Encampment head coach Kegan Willford and Meeteetse head coach Zeb Hagen before Friday’s game.

These two teams have opposite strengths. The Longhorns average 528.5 yards and 54 points per game. The Tigers allow only 255.7 yards and 36.3 points per game.

This will be only the third football game between the two. They’ve split the first two, with the road team winning both times.

The game starts at 3 p.m.
