Meeteetse is coming off a strong 2021 season as they made it to the final 4 in 6-man football. The team did lose a trio of all-state players so it's going to be a new world for the Longhorns. Meeteetse was dealt a 57-12 defeat at the hands of Bridger, Montana over the weekend so there is plenty of room for growth.

Joseph Pina who is a returning all-state selection had 100 yards rushing in that game and 2 touchdowns. The Longhorns will have plenty of freshmen and one of them is the quarterback Max Potos. He was 9-16 for 79 yards and Jason Moody caught 2 balls for 20 yards.

There's a long way to go this season and we'll see how much progress the teams make in their week 1 game which will be at home vs. Little Snake River. The Rattlers are the defending state champions in this classification.
