Farson-Eden needed 4 more minutes, to do what they couldn't pull off in the final minute of regulation.

It was worth the extra time.

Hagan Jones 3-ball went through the hoop at the buzzer, as F-E would defeat Encampment 57-54 in overtime, to win their first state title since 1998.

The 2 southwest teams were very familiar with each other, with the 2 teams winning on each other's home court, and then the Pronghorns won the West Regional Championship game, prior to the state championship tournament.

F-E (25-4) is the only team to beat Encampment (23-3), and did it 3 times.

Lain Mitchelson was the leading scorer for the Pronghorns with a double-double (17 points and 16 rebounds).

Shad Sellers contributed with 12, while Jones had 10, including the winning shot.

Reid Schroeder poured in 20 for the Tigers, and Dalton Peterson had a double-double of his own (16 points 13 rebounds).
