Cokeville and Burlington went neck and neck in the 1A Boys West Regional track meet over the weekend. In the end, Burlington rang up 129.5 points while Cokeville amassed 129.  On the track, defending 1A state champion Kaden Dower of Western Heritage out of Riverton won the 100 in 11.19 and also won the 200 meter dash in 23,24. Ten Sleep sophomore Boe Nichols took the 400 with a clocking of 53.35. In the distance races, those were owned by Jarom Davidson of Burlington who won all 3. He had a time of 2.01.54 in the 800, 4.40.64 in the 1600 and 10.39.39 in the 3200. That was impressive. His teammate Bentley Johnson captured both of the hurdle events thanks to a 15.7 effort in the 110 and a 42.54 effort in the 300. Saratoga placed first in the 4 x 100 relay with Cokeville winning the 4 by 400, Farson took the 4 by 800 with Ten Sleep taking the tape in the 1600 medley.  Burlington's Dontae Garza, who is a terrific all around athlete won 2 of the jumping events. He had a monsterous leap of 21 feet 6 inches to win the long jump and leaped 44-7 to win the triple jump. The high jump victor was Saratoga's SamSchneider clearing 6-6. His teammate, Gavin Bartlett cleared 11 feet to win the pole vault. Little Snake River's Carter Evans throws 134-1 to place 1st in the discus while Noah Rimmer of Saratoga won the shot put, going 45 feet and a half an inch. Be sure and check out our video!
