Lander ended the season on the right foot with 2 wins in 3 matches at the 3A State Tournament back in November, The Tigers finished the year at 17-8 and had just one senior on the team. The good news for Lander is that Demi Stauffenberg, their three-time all-state player was a junior this past season.

Lander did have their hands full in the opening round of the state tournament as they lost to Douglas 25-14, 25-17, and 25-17. The Tigers rebounded quickly in the consolation round with a 3-0 win over Wheatland 25-9, 25-20, and 25-21. In the 5th place match, Lander showed plenty of fortitude with a thrilling 5 set win over Rawlins 25-20, 24-26, 21-25, 25-20, and 15-10.

Looking ahead to 2021, Stauffenberg is a star to build around and she will be one of four seniors on the squad along with five juniors.
