2020 Sundance Volleyball Wrap
Sundance has been a powerhouse in 2A volleyball lately with state titles in 2017, 2019, and 2020. The Bulldogs won 22 of 24 matches this season and did not lose a set in this year's state tournament. Sundance started things out with 25-4, 25-18, and 25-9 win over Wind River and then defeated Shoshoni in the semi-final round 25-20, 27-25, and 25-12. The championship match was far more challenging but the Bulldogs prevailed in 3, 25-19, 25-23, and 25-23.
Sundance has a whopping 4 players that earned all-state honors; Aftyn Marchant who was a back-to-back selection, Sherry Neegard who was another repeat selection along with, Cana McInerney and Tryianna Trass. Marchant and Neegard were seniors this year but the cupboard isn't bare by any stretch as Trass and McInerney were juniors.
