Worland has played some top-notch volleyball over the course of the last two seasons with 2nd place finishes at the 3A State Tournament in 2019 and 2020. The Warriors had 2 players who were named all-state in consecutive years in Denali Jones and Payton Julson. Another player, Tymberlynn Crippen made all-state for the first time and Darla Hernandez was named all-conference.

Worland's trip through the state tournament started out with a straight-set win over Rawlins 25-18, 25-22, and 26-24. In the semi-finals. the Warriors prevailed in a hard-fought match with Pinedale 25-21, 14-25, 25-21, and 25-16. The championship match wasn't so pleasant from Worland's point of view as they were swept by Mountain View 25-21, 25-18, and 25-10.

Worland last won a state championship in 2015 so the program is strong but Hernandez, Jones, Crippen, and Julson were all seniors this season. In fact, there were seven seniors on the roster in 2020 so there will be some re-tooling for 2021.
